I am such a bum

Mon Jan 30, 2006, 4:32 PM
Yesterday I came to a realisation. I am such a bum.

It was around 11:00 am, I was walking through coles with peter, unemployed, no shoes, drinking coke from a 1.5L bottle.

What has become of me? I mean I was enjoying myself and it was great to spend the day with peter, but I still feel really down on myself about not having a job. I suck. I should stop leeching off my parents, but it seems no-one wants to employ me. Damn.

Perhaps we are just too glovely... they could not stand to give us money in case we use it to make ourselves even more glovely...

there's always work for the taking, you've just got to really want it. and a hint, try and make yourself as useful as possible, e.g. if you don't have a licence, odds are they won't even bother reading a resume.

A bit of being a bum doesn't sound too bad to me right about now. I've just had a week of being hassled and ripped off by about 1000 people every ten minutes. It's funny how travelling is really great to look back on, but while you're there half the time you're thinking about how much it makes you love Australia. Still, I guess I am having a pretty good time with Sarah here. We left Steph the other day and she went off to her war zone. Has anyone heard from her?

Ok, I'll stop rambling in your journal now.

No trees were harmed in the formulation or sending of this message. However a great number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.
